Hi Everyone! I’m excited to get things started! Every week you will see a different student share his or her unique experience of life here at UConn. These stories will be captured and broadcast on my video blog, One Student One Story. I already have a few great students lined up to tell their tale, and I can’t wait to see the variety of interests, goals, and knowledge that is living here at the University of Connecticut.
Before we get to know other students, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a senior, double majoring in Communication and Psychology, and I am Vice President of the Communication Society. My hometown is Hamden, Connecticut, where I played softball at Hamden High School. I’ve always loved UConn sports and I’d wanted to go to UConn ever since Shea Ralph was the star of the basketball team. I love creating and editing videos, and one-day hope to make that my career. My ultimate goal is to combine my two passions, sports and video editing, into my profession. I have started down that path with my internship this past summer at World Wrestling Entertainment, where I learned so much about how the television production industry works, and how fast-paced a broadcast environment truly is. Out of college, I hope to land a job with WWE, a university media program, or a national sports outlet such as ESPN. As of right now, I’m looking forward to my senior year! The Communication Society will be a lot of fun these next couple semesters, and I simply can’t wait to get One Student One Story off the ground. See you in a few weeks!
