Achievement
Richard Langlois, department head and professor of economics, has won the Alice Hanson Jones Prize for his recent book “The Corporation and the Twentieth Century: The History of American Business Enterprise”. The prize is awarded every other year by the Economic History Association for an outstanding book on North American economic history.
Leslie Loew, of the R.D. Berlin Center for Cell Analysis and Modeling at the School of Medicine, has been named a 2025 Biophysical Society Fellow for inventing fluorescent sensors of membrane potential and leadership in the development of computational cell biology. The Biophysical Society, is a professional, scientific society established to lead an innovative global community working at the interface of the physical and life sciences, across all levels of complexity, and to foster the dissemination of that knowledge.
