What’s Happening @ UConn Engineering!

It is an exciting time here at UConn School of Engineering! This Fall 2015 new partnerships and collaborations are being formed with faculty; in addition we celebrate and honor the achievements of our faculty and students.

On November 7, 2015 the University of Connecticut welcomed Dean Kamen! Who is Dean Kamen? Dean Kamen is an inventor, an entrepreneur, and a tireless advocate for science and technology.  His roles as inventor and advocate are intertwined—his own passion for technology and its practical uses has driven his personal determination to spread the word about technology’s virtues and by so doing to change the culture of the United States.

On November 5th, 2015, people from industry got to go on a “speed date” with our participating faculty to discuss to forging new partnerships, establish relationships with their companies and the School of Engineering faculty. In addition, the event hosted poster sessions so that people from industry can see the exciting research and collaboration happening at the School of Engineering.
