UConn School of Law, the top-ranked public law school in the Northeast, has risen to a rank of 50 in the U.S. News & World Report list of Best Law Schools.
“While no ranking can capture the full strengths of a law school, we are proud of the steps we have taken to continue improving outcomes for our students,” Dean Timothy Fisher said. “Our graduates’ employment prospects continue to improve, with 97.8 percent of the class of 2018 employed, thanks to a terrific careers staff, loyal alumni and the fine reputation that UConn Law and our students have in the legal community.”
The 2021 ranking gave the UConn School of Law a two-point boost from the 2020 rank of 52. The law school also rose four points for part-time law, to a rank of sixth in the nation.
UConn School of Law continues to be recognized not only for excellence but for affordability. It was recently listed 12th in the country by Law School Transparency for the ratio of first-year salaries to law school debt. Law.com also rated UConn School of Law among the Top 50 Go-To Law Schools for the number of graduates in big law jobs.
