Raymond Poole

Raymond Poole (B.S. Mechanical Engineering/Materials Engineering, ‘00) released a groundbreaking new book, “Lessons from a CF Cornerman,” documenting his wife Rebecca’s triumphant battle with Cystic Fibrosis and a bilateral lung transplant. The recipient of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Milwaukee’s Finest Award in 2013 for Young Professional Fundraising and Leadership and the Eaton Stover Volunteerism Award in 2014, Poole is a product manager at General Cable. In 2007, he earned his MBA at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

Chris Riello

Chris Riello (B.S. Computer Engineering, ‘85) was named vice president of product development at Artel Video Systems, a provider of IP- and fiber-based media transport solutions supporting global telecommunications, broadcast, and related markets. Prior to joining Artel, Riello was vice president of engineering at Cambridge Technology. Early in his career, he was manager of network management software at ADC Telecommunications. Riello earned an MBA in International Business at UConn in 1985.

Jonathan Thompson

 Jonathan P. “Jake” Thompson (B.S. Mechanical Engineering/Materials Engineering, ‘76), president at Fairchild Automated Parts, Inc., received the Precision Machined Products Association’s prestigious Gold Micrometer Award. Acknowledging individuals who have served the contract manufacturing industry for over 40 years, Thompson was presented with the award at the Association’s 2016 annual meeting in Hilton Head Island, S.C. He joined Fairchild Automated Parts in 1982 as the head of sales and engineering and was named president of the Winsted, Conn.-based company in 2006.
