Marcia Anderson and her husband, Robert, stopped by the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the University of Connecticut Health Center last week to deliver quilts. Marcia, who has been making quilts for the past five years for the Health Center, recently made 26 in honor of the children and teachers whose lives were taken on December 14, in the Newtown school shooting.

Each quilt has a unique pattern, purposefully done in honor of each child, teacher, principal, and counselor. All of them, however, are inked with Marcia’s initials, along with a green heart showing her love and support for Sandy Hook Elementary.
