David Giuffrida, P.E. (B.S. Electrical Engineering, ’84) is Vice President, Facilities and Support Services at Middlesex Hospital and President/CEO at Giuffrida Engineering Inc. In his position at Middlesex Hospital, he is responsible for engineering and capital projects, as well as other related support services. He previously served as Director of Engineering at Middlesex Hospital.
Dominick Pagano (B.S. Computer Science, ’68), CEO of Farmington, CT-based aerospace components manufacturer EDAC Technologies Corp., was quoted in a June 7 Hartford Courant story. The article described EDAC’s recent purchase of Agawam, MA-based job shop EBTEC Corp., a laser welding and cutting, waterjet cutting and other processes for aerospace manufacturers. Mr. Pagano is quoted as saying, “EBTEC gives us highly complementary and advanced capabilities that are required for the manufacturer of our precision parts, which we formerly outsourced to EBTEC.””At UConn, he generously supports the Dominick A. Pagano Endowed Scholarship in Computer Science and Engineering.
Morton K. Pearson, P.E., (B.S. Mechanical Engineering ’74) is Chair of the Trinity College Engineering Advisory Council and one of five Mechanical Design Technical Discipline Chiefs for Pratt & Whitney, responsible for the aftermarket engineering business segment, insuring that mechanical design practitioners, tools, and processes produce superior mechanical solutions. His team maintains the mechanical design system and works closely with other United Technologies organizations to assure that best practices and experience are captured and used, and that tools, practices and processes are common, where applicable.
Lt. Gen. John T. “Tom””Sheridan (B.S. Mechanical Engineering ’73), who retired in August ‘11 from his position as the Commander, Space and Missile Systems Center, Air Force Space Command at Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA, was named Vice President of the National Security Space line at SI Organization Inc. SI is a provider of systems engineering and integration capabilities to the U.S. intelligence community, Defense Department and other agencies. In his new role, he is responsible for leading a line of business that will support national security space programs for the intelligence community, the military and NASA.
Robert J. Stadalius (B.S. Chemical Engineering, ’79) is Senior Vice President, Operational Excellence, of Arch Chemicals, Inc., a global biocides company with annual sales of over $1 billion. In this role, he has global responsibility for ensuring manufacturing excellence, supply chain and capital expenditure efficiency, product quality, productivity and strategic cost reductions. He also has management responsibility for Responsible Care and security. Mr. Stadalius is located at Arch Chemicals’ office in Atlanta.
