Robert Kimble ’73 (BUS), financial advisor at Ameriprise in East Hartford, Conn., received the CT Lottery Community Hero Award for his volunteer work with the Arthritis Foundation over the past 15 years. He has served on the foundation’s Board of Governors in various roles since 1998 and has chaired or served on committees for multiple fundraising events for the foundation. She is retired from serving as associate justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court for more than 18 years.

Marilyn Brine Gilmour ’78 MSW, a licensed independent clinical social worker, was plenary speaker at the annual conference for women living with metastatic breast cancer in Philadelphia, sponsored by Living Beyond Breast Cancer. She has been facilitating metastatic cancer support groups at the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden in Harvard, Mass., since 2005, as well as at her private psychotherapy practice in Natick, Mass.
