On May 25, 2011, UConn will host a special event for entrepreneurs, inventors, capital investors and other who are interested in technology commercialization and want to explore novel innovations emerging from the academic sector. Entitled “Connecting Opportunities: Driving Innovation Through University Resources,” the program is sponsored by the Connecticut Venture Group.
Program activities will take place at the Student Union Theater and ballrooms at the UConn Storrs campus, from 3:00-7:00 p.m., and feature a keynote address by UConn engineering alumnus T. Scott Case (B.S. Computer Science & Engineering, ’92), who was recently appointed CEO of The Startup America Partnership, a private sector alliance launched at the White House in January to celebrate and accelerate entrepreneurship. He is also Vice Chair of Malaria No More and the co-founder and former CTO of Priceline. Read more about Mr. Case here.
