The game room at UConn's Stamford Campus is a great place for a friendly game of pool. The various games of pool – or billiards – date back to the 15th century. Mary, Queen of Scots, was wrapped in the cover of her billiard table upon her murder in 1586 and Shakespeare included the famous line “Let’s to billiards” in Antony and Cleopatra. Mozart, Marie Antoinette, Napoleon, Abraham Lincoln, and Mark Twain are among the famous (or infamous) individuals known to enjoy the sport. Photo by Sean Flynn
