Board of Trustees to Appoint New President Today

The Board of Trustees will vote this afternoon to appoint UConn's 15th president.

The University of Connecticut Board of Trustees will meet TODAY (Dec. 20) at 2:45 p.m. in the Rome Ballroom on the Storrs Campus to vote to appoint UConn’s 15th president. A press conference that includes the incoming president will immediately follow the meeting.

There will first be a closed executive session with the candidate and the board members. The board will then vote on the candidate in an open, public session. The press conference will follow.

News media may park outside the entrance to the Rome building, across from the Nathan Hale Inn. If that lot is full, parking will be available in “S-Lot,” which can be accessed by turning right onto Bolton Road off Route 195, if heading south through campus from I-84.

To find Rome building, go to the campus map online. It is designated “ROME.”
