Throughout the summer, there has been considerable work on state roadways leading to UConn’s main campus in Storrs, primarily Routes 195 and 44. The Connecticut Department of Transportation and the State Police indicate that they anticipate relatively few construction-related delays on freshmen/transfer student move-in day, Friday, Aug. 27.

Even under the best of circumstances, however, there will be elevated traffic volume on move-in day, and also over the weekend as upperclassmen return. It is therefore recommended that those coming to campus plan accordingly.

Roads in the immediate vicinity of campus are open, and roads that normally accommodate two-way traffic will continue to do so. The exception to this is Glenbrook Road, on campus, which will have alternating lanes of traffic.

Complete information regarding move-in instructions for both freshmen/transfer students and upperclassmen is available on the Residential Life website.
